10 homes totally destroyed--link to update& photos

10 homes totally destroyed by fire in s.e.Boise. 10 police officers were hospitalized for smoke inhalation. Very high winds were fanning the flames. (50+ mph!) And 9 other homes were severely damaged.
No one was seriously hurt, though! (so far--another cold front is coming through!)
It started as a grass fire, that raced up a hill.

2 major auto accidents were caused by gawkers on the freeway. One was 3 cars, the other was 8 cars! amazingly, there were only minor injuries!

41 fire crews on the scene! 50 homes evacuated. One person has been reported missing.
